Worst book I have ever read...

This book had the nerve to compare itself to 'Fifty Shades of Grey' (clearly as a cheap selling point) and it doesn't even come remotely close. After reading 'Fifty Shades' and 'Bared To You', I was getting serious withdrawals. I needed another book! So, I decided to give this one a go. Unfortunately, it was very boring and just didn't build up to anything. I felt no real connection to the characters. The psycho doctor is creepy and overly manipulative. The female character is just embarrassing. She's a mother and wife pushing 40. Due to her life experiences, you'd think she'd be more strong and assertive. A woman of her age should not be allowing any man to bully and manipulate her like that (and he's not even her husband). Although she's clearly an intelligent woman, it's like her intellectual values go out the window whenever she's in the presence of this man. She lets him get away with murder. She lets him humiliate her in public and never stands her ground whenever she's out of her comfort zone. All of a sudden, she develops the mindset of a child and readily becomes the sex slave.

There are parts of the book that become too clinical and scientific. If I wanted to learn complex medical jargon, I'd go pick up a bloody biology dictionary! There is no real story or backbone. The writing is not even witty to compensate for such an appalling body of work. Once I got to the halfway mark, I completely abandoned the book entirely. I'll end this right here with a recommendation. 'This Man' trilogy by Jodi Ellen Malpas. If it's sh*t, then sue me.
