Normani & Cardi B | ❝Wild Side❞ video

Wasn't it not long ago folks were saying Normani was the next Beyoncé? Sorry not sorry but a more realistic comparison would have been Ciara. It's been little over a week since she dropped the nudity-filled visuals for her Cardi B-assisted new single 'Wild Side.' When the video dropped, this was practically the first time fans got to hear the song in full. Normani can dance her ass off. Her vocals, as lacklustre as they are, who's questioning this girl's dancing abilities in 2021? If there's one thing she's going to do is smash some choreography. Sadly, this Tesco Value version of Aaliyah’s ‘One in a Million’  is painfully unremarkable. Cardi added nothing to the song. She was put there for shock value and to give it a commercial booster. Seems to be working as the song has just debuted at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Sure... it's great Norm's is going the R&B route, but why so basic? She is very talented but this was not worthy of a 2-year wait prior to 'Motivation.' It's not the worst thing she's ever released, but would I listen to it again? Probably not.
